ARRIVAL IN GUILIN
Upon arrival at Guilin airport, you are taken directly to the Longji Rice Terraces by our chauffeur. Spend your afternoon looking for the best vistas of the terraced paddy fields cascading swirling down into a valley. You can find some of the most spectacular views around the Zhuang village of Ping’an or near Dazhai, a mesmerising Yao village. (no other services by Explore Beyond included)

Day 2
HIKE ENDLESS RICE TERRACES
Get up early to catch that idyllic sunrise or simply soak in the views over a coffee from your hotel balcony. After lunch, head further into the mountains to meet our local friend. Together, you set out for a hike amidst rice terraces as he leads the way to your home stay in a Yao minority village. Meanwhile, your luggage is taken directly to the home stay

Day 3
GET A FEEL OF MOUNTAIN LIFE
Have an easy morning and have one of your neighbours drop by to teach you how to make tofu or how to weave your own pair of traditional shoes. In the afternoon, you are transferred to down town Guilin by our chauffeur. The nearby Sun and Moon Pagodas at Shan Lake are beautifully lit after dark and make for a lovely evening walk.

Day 4
LI RIVER CRUISE & COUNTRYSIDE CYCLING
In the morning you are taken for a boat cruise on the famous Li River, which snakes between the towering limestone mountains. While you enjoy the scenery from the boat’s deck, your luggage is transported directly to the hotel. Look for lunch in Yangshuo’s bustling city centre before you are transferred to your hotel along the Yulong River. Hop on a bicycle and explore the rural back-roads that connect the farming communities.

FREE TIME TO EXPLORE

BAMBOO RAFTING & RIVERSIDE TREK
In the morning you are taken upstream by car for a bamboo raft experience on the Yulong River, which flows underneath the 400-year old Yuling Bridge. Continue to Xingping, whose old town still has many buildings left dating back to the Qing and Ming dynasties. Our chauffeur takes care of your luggage when you set out on foot along the most scenic stretch of the Li River towards your homestay at a sleepy riverside village.

CHILL
Wind down or settle for something more active on your last day: swim in the Li River, hike up the karst mountains, explore a nearby cave or help out your hosts on their farmland.
