Suzhou is not only famous for its exquisite gardening, the people have also lived delicate lives there since ancient times. In ancient china, Suzhou has been a rich city throughout many dynasties, people in the city have always had an eye for the joy and beauty of life and so Suzhou is famous for embroidery, silk, tea, Kunqu opera and bonsai gardening. Follow this trail and learn new skills through hands-on classes, enjoy family time and experience crafts that have been handed down for centuries.

Day 1
ARRIVE SUZHOU
Arrival in Suzhou, meet your local guide.
Visit Suzhou Arts and Crafts Museum, which mainly reflects the history of craft culture in Suzhou. The museum displays over a thousand pieces of wood carving, Ming style furniture, Suzhou embroidery, sandalwood and others.
Afterwards, you will visit the Master of Nets Garden, which is the smallest yet most delicate landscape garden in Suzhou City. In this garden, you will attend a bonsai Pruning class (one hour) and learn how to trim and maintain bonsai.
In the evening you can take a leisurely walk in Shantang Street with its beautiful river view. A good idea is to sit in a tea house by the river and enjoy your free time with a cup of local tea.

Day 2
SUZHOU
You drive to Tongli watertown (18 kilometers, 20min drive) and enjoy a full day tour in Tongli.
With its history of over a thousand years, Tongli features a picturesque scenery with authentic ancient riverside buildings and traditional folk culture. This makes it one of the most attractive historical towns in South China. First you will explore the delicate Tuisi Garden and Chongben Hall, an old residence that boasts beautiful carvings. Afterwards, you will take a boat to enjoy the watertown’s scenery.
Your return to Suzhou is scheduled in the late afternoon.

Day 3
DEPART SUZHOU
Today you will visit the Lion Forest Garden, where each type of rock has its own unique characteristics. Afterwards you will enjoy a cooking class and learn how to make various Chinese snacks. These and other dishes will be used for lunch. The itinerary ends here, according to your departure time you will be brought timely to the correct train station.
