Day 2
HANGZHOU
Take a boat cruise on West Lake and enjoy a leisurely walk by the lake.
Visit the Lingyin Temple and the Hangzhou Feilai Peak . Lingyin Temple is one of the most significant and attractive Buddhist monasteries in China.
In Chinese "Ling-yin" means "Soul's Retreat, therefore, the temple's name is commonly translated as the Temple of the Soul's Retreat. The temple features a large number of grottoes and religious rock carvings, the most famous of which is the Feilai Feng (literally translated as "the peak that flew hither").
Indulge in Hangzhou's culture by walking in Hefang Street and marvel in the ancient history. The street is the only well-preserved part of the ancient city; as a miniature of the city's long history, it best embodies the historical and cultural character of Hangzhou.
Enjoy a local lunch at a local Restaurant.
Visit the Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine - Huqingyu Tang, a 130-year-old medicine shop where tradition pharmacists fill prescriptions made with ancient remedies (ginseng, angelica) in an elaborately carved central hall.
Finally proceed to the local snack street - Nan Song Yujie, which is a worthy place to experience the pace of the people’s life of Nan Song Dynasty (1127-1276).
