Day 5
BATURADEN – DIENG PLATEU – YOGYAKARTA (279/08 HOURS)
Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast we drive to Wonosobo, joining the excursion to Dieng Plateau to visit the oldest Hindus temple complex. Dieng Plateau is the largest high land in Java, which lies at 2.093 meters above sea level. The temples, mostly built between the 8th and 9th centuries, cover the highland plain. We then continue our visit to the beautiful Telaga Warna (colored lake), which has turquoise hues from bubbling sulfur deposits around its shores.
From Telaga Warna Colour Lake, we continue to Sikidang Crater – a volcanic crater with steaming vents and frantically bubbling mud ponds. Then we drive to Yogyakarta.

Visit the Kraton (Sultan’s Palace) and then continue to the traditional Javanese silversmiths and batik processing in Kota Gede.
Proceed in visiting Borobudur Temple, the massive stone stupa of Borobudur and one the greatest of all ancient architectural monuments. Built with forced labor from the surrounding countryside between about AD 750 and 850, Borobudur predates Angkor Wat in Cambodia by three centuries. Its ensembles of stone relief panels are a virtual history of Mahayana Buddhist doctrine as well as provide scholars with detailed information about life in 8th and 9th century Java. Buried under volcanic ash and tropical growth, it was only rediscovered in 1815. It has recently been fully restored by an international effort under the aegis of UNESCO. Afterward, we continue driving to visit the Prambanan Temples. The temple of the “slender virgin” also known as a complex of Lorojongrang, consists of 3 major temples/shrines in the main area dedicated to the respected Hindu’s God Tri Murti trinity Candi Shiva Mahadeva, Candi Brahma & Candi Vishnu. Enough time is given to stroll and observe the beautiful carvings and shrines such as the Candi Palosan and the Candi Sewu. Afterward, drive back to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Today you will have an early morning start of the day with a scenic drive to East Java by Sancaka train to Mojokerto (depart at 06:45 from Yogyakarta). Along the way, you will discover a picturesque landscape.
Arrived at the train station in Mojokerto, we continue to travel by car to Tosari for a 2 - 3 hours non-stop drive. In the afternoon we arrive at your hotel for the check-in.

Few important details to frame the experience:
- The trekking at Bromo is not suitable for people with walking difficulties
- In Bromo there is the opportunity to ride a horse, however we firmly discourage this option. Should you wish to try this experience, please do it on your own account
- Please note the ideal time to visit Bromo is during the dry season, April to November. At any time of the year, it's cold on these mountains and night temperatures can get down to around 2-5 Celsius
- The Bromo Tengger National Park is a popular getaway destination for local tourists, so the platform on the peak of Mt. Penanjakan can be very busy during weekends and public holidays. For those wishing to avoid the crowds, we recommend going after 8am
- Minor program changes are sometimes necessary, depending on local conditions and room availability
- Transfer times and distances can vary depending on traffic, road conditions, local ceremonies & public holidays. Please allow flexibility with the time provided in this itinerary
