SANDAKAN AIRPORT PICK-UP - ELINGAN TURTLE ISLAND

Meet at Sandakan Airport. Proceed with a transfer to the jetty for the scheduled boat departing at 10:15 to Selingan Island. Upon arrival, register at the Turtle Island Parks HQ and check-in to your chalet. Enjoy a relaxed lunch, followed by a swim in the pristine water of the Sulu Sea.
After dinner, the rangers will take you to observe the turtles laying their eggs. You will see how they transfer the eggs to the hatchery, and if you are lucky, you may witness the young turtles’ hatchling and their release to the sea.

Day 2
SEPILOK/BY BOAT TO ABAI JUNGLE LODGE/PM&NIGHT CRUISE
6:30 - 7:00
Today you will have an early departure from the Island for Sandakan via boat transfer. You will have breakfast at your arrival.
Drive for 30 minutes to Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Center. At 10:00, you will be invited to help to feed this fascinating primate and observe man’s closest relative being rehabilitated to the wild in their natural habitat. Next, visit the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. The center improves the living condition of the rescued sun bear and helps them re-adapt to their natural behaviors in the enclosed forest.

Depart from the Sepilok Centre and transfer to the jetty in Sandakan for the scheduled boat leaving at noon. Take an hour boat cruise up to the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary before having your lunch at a local restaurant.
Check-in at your hotel.
Later in the afternoon, join another boat cruise looking for wildlife until sunset. When the night falls, continue the cruise to witness the fireflies lights up like a Christmas tree.
Return to the lodge for dinner.
After dinner, continue your adventure by experiencing the “Jungle at night” at our nature boardwalk to search for birds, snakes, insects, and other wildlife with our nature guide.

Day 3
PITAS OXBOW LAKE / BOAT TO SUKAU / MENANGGUL CRUISE

Wake up by the calls of nature and take an early morning river trip to Pitas Lake to observe its wildlife and uniqueness. Enjoy your breakfast after the cruise. At 11:00, you will be briefed about the Tree Planting Project and the Most Beautiful House Competition. You can choose to have lunch prepared by the villagers or a local restaurant.
After lunch, cruise through the river to Sukau Village in search of primates like the wild orangutan, birds, and pygmy elephant.
Upon arrival in Sukau, check-in at your hotel.
Later in the afternoon, take another boat cruise to Menanggul River, a small tributary of the Kinabatangan. Return to the hotel for dinner.

BY LAND TO GOMANTONG CAVE/TRANSFER TO SANDAKAN AIRPORT DROP-OFF
Wake up to the calls of gibbons and hornbills. After breakfast, proceed by land to Gomantong Cave and continue to Sandakan Airport for your flight or to your next hotel.

Selingan Island Chalet is the only accommodation on Selingan Turtle Island. Simply decorated in a tropical style and featuring an attached bath and airconditioning, these chalets offer the unique opportunity to observe nesting green turtles up close. Abai Jungle Lodge is located on the shores of Kinabatangan River in Borneo. Built on stilts, and only reachable by boat, this simple but cozy lodge provides an excellent base for spotting the abundance of wildlife that can be found in the area.

Payment and Cancellations
- CANCELLATION POLICY:
Any cancellation for confirmed booking in Selingan Island will be charged at MYR 454 per room and won't be refundable
- Normal period: 25% charge shall be imposed for any cancellation within 32 working days and 100% charge for any cancellation within 9 working days prior to arrival date
- July & August: 25% charge shall be imposed for any cancellation within 62 working days, 50% charge for any cancellation within 32 working days, and 100% charge for any cancellation within 16 working days prior to arrival date - CHILD POLICY:
If booking is for 1 adult + 1 child, the child will be calculated as adult. Meaning the booking will be charged same as 2 adult travelling
- If booking is for 2 adult + the child/children, there will be 50% less from adult package rate for child from 2 to 4 years old and 20% less from adult package rate for child from 5 to 11 years old
- FOC for child below 2 years (without meals/mattress/entrance fee/permit) - Payment should be received at least 30 days before departure. Typically a deposit of 30% will be required at time of booking. Specific conditions may apply

Few important details to frame the experience:
- Please take note - Sabah Park allow only camera of unaided flash to take photograph of the turtle. Video / Digital Video Cameras not allowed. Please make sure you are taking all you need with you before dinner as you might not be able to get back to your accommodation
- The Sabah Parks also forbidding visitor from going around the island on their own from 6:00pm to 6:00am
- The Selingan Island chalet is about 500 meters away from the beach. There are NO PORTERS on the island. You will need to carry your own luggage from the boat to your chalet. Please note that there are luggage room available at the jetty
- All rates quoted are net and non-commissionable
- Rates are subject to change should fuel or related products prices increase. Rates from third party like entrance fee, toll and bridge fee are also subject to change as these will be out of our jurisdiction
