This flower trail is an excellent opportunity for photographers. You will cross 2 provinces for along 750km and indulge in the beauty offered by the blossoming of the typical cole flowers. Along the way, you will also visit the UNESCO Sites at the Stone Forest and at Huangguoshu Waterfall. Meanwhile, you will get a glimpse of various minority cultures whose regions we will cross and get hands-on by preparing local meals yourself.

Day 1
ARRIVAL IN GUIYANG
Upon arrival, you will be picked up and we will get started immediately with the itinerary – therefore, a morning arrival is necessary. Today’s highlight is a visit to the old Han minority. Though this group is seen as a minority, in fact they are a branch of the Han people who migrated away from the central kingdom. Their customs and traditions of the past have been very well preserved. Here you can watch the ground opera, a typical local opera, and learn Kungfu with a local master.
Continue to drive to Huangguoshu Waterfall area.

Day 2
HUANGGUOSHU WATERFALL
Full day exploration at Huangguoshu, one of the biggest waterfalls in China. The waterfall is surrounded by many peaks, dense vegetation, canyons, caves, stone forest and stone pillars, a typical karst landform. You can feel like having arrived in a fairyland if you are in the middle of a cave behind the water curtain and watch the clear water fall down. The Doupotang is the widest one on the top of the entire Huangguoshu waterfalls. Seeing the cascade’s water pouring down along the surface gives a magnificent and amazing view. (One-way cable car incl.)
Afterwards, we go to Tianxingqiao, where sceneries of stone, water, trees and caves magically integrate. Here you can feel the divine touch of God on the nature, with many little yet beautiful details to perfect the landscape. Located in the stone forest that surrounds the water at Tianxing, the Yinlianjuetan waterfall is on the top left. It is famous for its countless shapes and crying waterfall sounds. It is funnel-shaped on the top and ends up through shaped karst in the pool on the bottom.

Day 3
ANSHUN – XINGYI
In the morning, we will drive to Xingyi Wanfeng Forest, composed of nearly 20,000 peaks and green mountains. It is one of the three major karst landforms in Southwest China. The dense and peculiar peak forest, grand, magnificent and perfectly shaped, can be called China’s own natural karst Museum, and is also regarded as one of the natural wonders of the world. Every spring, thousands of acres of rape flower blossom can be found here. The earth is yellow, and the rape flowers meander in layers along the terrain, forming a variety of patterns, as if each mountain is covered with a tapestry. Take a small electric car and meander along the mountains, surrounded by colorful fields – pay special attention to the so-called "eight trigrams field". This field is a dish shaped subsidence funnel, formed by the collapse of underground rivers and the dissolution of surface water. Locals built circles of fields around the funnel. Looking down from a higher position, it looks like a combination of eight colorful trigrams, making for a spectacular sight. (Electric car incl.)
Afterwards, we move on to Wanfeng Lake, an artificial lake formed after the impoundment of the Tianshengqiao High Dam Hydropower Station, a key hydropower project in China. Thousands of peaks in the lake form a charming scenery with a plentitude of islands or peninsulas. (Boat ticket incl.)

Day 4
XINGYI – LUOPING
Our morning activity is a visit to Malinghe Gorge, offering a landscape that is densely concentrated with multi-level karst. It is famous for its being a quite narrow and deep gorge sided with waterfalls, hanging waterfalls and limestone wall structures. Its geomorphic structure is different from that of most canyons in China. In fact, the canyon itself is a ground fissure, known as "the most beautiful scar on the earth.". Tianxing Gallery is the core part of the canyons scenic area. It is a unique scenic spot with its large-scale waterfalls and rock leaf wall. Only 1.7 km long, there are 13 waterfalls, among which the roaring waterfall of Wanma, the Pearl Waterfall and the Laoyue waterfall. They differ from 120-200 meters in height and 20-110 meters in width, mighty as thunder and as soft as silk. The afternoon will be spent on our transfer drive to Luoping in Yunnan Province.

LUOPING: COLE FLOWER DAY
Every spring, the various cone-shaped mountains are dotted in a boundless ocean of green and yellow, decorated with rape flowers all over.In the morning, we will go to on top of a peak cluster in Luoping and enjoy a panoramic view over the flower fields.
The next stop is the Jiulong waterfall, a nationally reknown scenic spot in China, owing its name to the river Jiulong. Due to its special geological structure and millennia of water-erosion, there are ten groups of waterfalls with different shapes and heights. The largest one is 112 meters wide and 56 meters high. Known as "the first waterfall in Jiulong", it is truly magnificent. Because of its numerous waterfalls and dense scenic spots, the group of waterfalls has its own unique ornamental characteristics and provides beautiful scenery all year round.
Later, we will go to a nearby village, the birthplace of Buyi people that inhabit the border region of Guizhou and Yunnan. There are nearly 40 waterfalls on the river bed with a total length of 12 kilometers.The Buyi people's customs in the are intense and fascinating; particularly on the third day of the third lunar month, when young Buyi men and women gather by the river in costumes to race bamboo rafts, deliver egg bags and splash water. After lunch in the local restaurant, follow a farmer to learn how to make 5-colored rice by yourself. The 5-colored rice is a speciality from the region, where farmers dye the rice with natural flowers or floral essence.
Afterwards, go to a famous flower terraces, another great spot to shoot rape flower, the terraces here are circle shaped, which looks like the spiral pattern on the screw from a distance, hence their nickname as “screw fields”. Geologically it is a unique natural landscape composed of bead-like karst funnels. Overlooking the screw shaped flower sea landscape and the odd-shaped rape terraces, we can see establish that the rape flower fields here are completely different from overlooking the fields, whereas here you can find small and exquisite terraces, surrounding mountains like screws. At sunset, this simply makes for a marvelous treat. For dinner you will be treated a special Duoyi meal!

LUOPING - MILE
In the morning, drive to the famous Buddhist resort Maitreya, which has the same name as wisdom Buddha Maitreya. The mountain is unique and precipitous, with beautiful flowers and trees. The mountain peaks are like a screen, from afar, it looks like a Maitreya Buddha sitting in the mountains. The scenic spot is surrounded by green shade, quiet and pleasant. The red wall and yellow tile on the hillside is Maitreya Temple, with flowing clouds and curling smoke. Incense has been burning for hundreds of years. Maitreya Buddha was founded in 1999 and completed in December, it is one of the largest laughing Buddhas in the world.
After the tour, return to the hotel and enjoy the natural hot spring. The area is rich in hot spring geothermal resources. Your hotel is a natural hot spring resort with unique functions. There are 26 spring pools in total. You can feel the special feeling of soaking in milk bath, Apple Bath, ginseng bath, red wine bath and so on. MILE – STONE FOREST – DEPART KUNMING
In the morning, drive to Kunming. En route, visit the stone forest scenic spot, which is known as "the first wonder in the world". Covering an area of about 350 square kilometers, it is one of the world-famous karst areas and also a world-famous tourist attraction. There are stone forests composed of strange stones, dreamlike caves, beautiful plateau freshwater lakes and magnificent waterfalls. In 2007, the stone tower and ancient karst forest were selected as the world heritage sites by UNESCO.
Afterwards, you will be transferred to the airport for your connecting flight.
