It covers an area of 2,200 km2 (850 sq mi) and has a population of approximately 365,000 (2002), of which 88% belong to ethnic minorities – mostly Hani, who cultivated the land for the last 1300 years. Whilst Terraces being the highlight, Jianshui , and the Shilin Stone Forest will provide with full opportunities to hone your skills
Mathias Guillin is a renowned French professional photographer who has been working in Shanghai since 2005. His photographs mostly focus on architecture and landscapes, however, he also features portraits and can do wonders with light! As Mathias explores the outdoors or unknown parts of his city, he always keeps his camera or his drone beside him. We had the rare opportunity to see some of his personal work, and then grew very interested in sharing the opportunity to have such an individual share his passion on his travels and stunning landscapes of China. Drone (aerial) photography is his latest interest, and this kind of traveling workshops is among our offerings. Take flight to Kunming (morning schedule). Arrive Kunming airport, greet and met by your guide and transfer to city center for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Western Hill and Dragon Gate with single way cable car (Duration: 2 hours), where have a panoramic view of Dianchi and pass the Dragon Gate. As a Chinese idiom says, 'Once you ascend Longmen (Dragon Gate), you would receive a sudden boost in your prestige'. Dragon Gate is a certain gorge on a river flanked by precipices and with a natural dam. If carps swimming upstream could jump over the dam, they would become dragons. Transfer to hotel for check in. Walk along the old street close to your hotel. Lunch on own, dinner will be served at local restaurant. Tour Duration: 13:00-17:00

Transfer to Jianshui (200km, 3 hours) in the morning. Jianshui is as famous as Lijiang Ancient old town and Dali old town. With an history of 1200 years, the old town is rich in cultural heritages and home to many architecture relics, some of which still are well preserved as what they are a few hundreds years ago. Met and greeted by your driver, and then transfer to visit Tuanshan Village(Duration : 1.5 hours), a quiet and remote ancient village, be amazed by the well preserved compounds and vivid carvings on the wood, stones and bricks. Stop at the famous Twin Dragon bridge(Duration : 20min), which is one of the milestone in the history of bridge construction in China. Then proceed to visit the Xianghui bridge along the vestigial narrow-gauge railway. In the evening, explore the Jianshui Old town by your own pace

JIANGSHUI ZHUYEXUAN BOUTIQUE HOTEL
This morning, you can stroll in the local market like a local, encounter the goods you may have never seen! Visit the ancient wells and heard the stories of the renowned Jianshui Tofu. Proceed a visit to the Residence of Family Zhu(Duratioin : 1 hour), which covers an area of 20,000 square meters, is a typical quadrangles courtyard in Qing Dynasty(1636 A.D-1912 A.D) and well kept for more than 100 years. For the rest of the day, explore the beautiful and peaceful town on your own, the beautiful houses, bars and interesting small boutique shops awaits your discovery. Full day Exploration to the Yuanyang Rice Terrace. The scenery of the terraced fields in Yuanyang is at its best from November to the following April. Taking a tour to Yuanyang Terraces in winter is amazing, since the fields are full of water, composing a colorful painting. Normally the first stop is Duoyishu Scenic Area(Duratioin : 40min), the most beautiful natural and cultural landscape of Yuanyang Terraces, and it is the best place to go if you wish to photograph the sunrise. Proceed to a local Village- A zheke( Duration :2 hours), famous for the mushroom-shaped house. It’s home to minorities of Hani and Yi, who lived together peacefully with each other. You may hike around the villages to discover more authentic lifestyle of the local minorities. Followed by a visit to the Bada Scenic Area(Duration : 40 min), the biggest attraction in terms of acreage of Yuanyang Terraces and the best of the sunset scenery can be seen here.

This agreement, its contents and all related documentation sent over to the customer/tour operator are strictly confidential and must not be disclosed to any third parties.
We consider complaints as valuable feedback to improve service delivery levels. We request that service delivery failures or customer concerns, be reported during the customer’s stay, to one of our representatives. It is the aim of the company to solve any irregularity on the spot. The company reserves the right to refuse to take action on perceived irregularities submitted to the company 14 days after the customer returns back home.
During the term of this agreement, neither party shall be in default of its obligations to the extent that its performance is delayed or prevented by causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to, acts of God, natural disasters, bankruptcy of a vendor, strikes and other labor disturbances, acts of war, or civil disturbances, or other equivalent or comparable events.
The client agrees to indemnify and to save A Trails – Daocheng from harm and against all damage or injury (including death) to property or person(s) resulting from intentional or negligent acts or omissions from their respective officers, employees, agents, contractor or subcontractor in connection with the performance of this agreement.
This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of China (and/or applicable in relation to the country it is legally represented) for the time being in force and the parties agree to submit any dispute arising between the parties under this agreement to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the respectable Arbitration Institute, Office of the Judiciary applicable at the time of submission of the dispute to arbitration and the conduct of the arbitration thereof shall be under the auspices of the specific Arbitration Institute accordingly.

The Company is not responsible for any last-minute closure of specific regions or tourism sites caused by decisions taken by local or national authorities to restrict access hereto. We will provide alternative itineraries where necessary and reduce cancellation fees to a minimum, however, such imposed closures are beyond our control and constitute a case of force majeure.
